Meet Our Team


Jim Koenigs

Chairman & Co-Founder of Pinicon Farm

Jim is an '81 graduate of Iowa State and lifelong farmer. His current responsibilities at Pinicon include key relationship management, financial oversight, and seasonal field assistant. Other interests include spending time with family, traveling with wife Linda, fitness and outdoor activities.


Bert Brumm

CEO of Pinicon Farm

Bert is part owner of Pinicon Farm and a ’97 graduate of St. Ansgar High School. He started working at Pinicon in the fall of ’97 and has been a highly valued member of the team since then. Bert resides in Stacyville, IA and enjoys spending time with his two boys, Cooper and Ryland. He also enjoys golf and cultivating his peer network in his free time.


Ben Winters

Production Lead & GIS Specialist

Ben is part-owner of Pinicon Farm, Ben joined the Pinicon family over ten years ago. His responsibilities include oversight of agronomy, GIS systems, and seasonal crew leader. Ben enjoys camping and spending time with his wife and sons in his spare time.


Alex Koenigs

CFO of Pinicon Farm

Alex is part owner and CFO of Pinicon Farm. His responsibilities include administratiive and accounting oversight, project supervision, and seasonal crew leader. After graduating from Iowa state University and Darke Law School, Alex joined Pinicon in 2015. Alex and his wife Megan enjoy spending time outdoors, biking, and spending time with friends and family.


Calvin Niess

Inventory & Purchasing Manager

Joining the Pinicon team in 1998, Calvin has worn many hats in his 19 years of service. He now serves as the Inventory & Purchasing Manager. Calvin grew up on a farm in Osage, IA and previously worked with grain inspection and merchandising for over 15 years. He enjoys running and spending time with his wife and their twelve grandchildren.


Lindsay Johnson

Accounting Specialist

A current enrollee at Riverland Community College for Accounting, Lindsay joined us in September of 2016. She grew up in Stacville, IA and was exposed to agriculture at a young age. Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her niece and nephew, Carly and Chase.


Morgen Scheer

Administrative Assistant

Morgen Scheer joined the office staff team in March of 2019. She grew up in Osage and is currently pursuing her BA in Business Management/Human Resources. Outside of work, Morgen enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She currently lives in Osage with her husband, Josh and two dogs, Apollo and Jax.


Danielle Johnson

Human Resources Manager

Danni has filled the role of Human Resources since 2014. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Human Resource Management. She and her husband Bryan live in St Ansgar Iowa with their three children. Danni enjoys staying active and being outdoors.


Andrew Flugge

Manure Application Manager

Andy Flugge started in 2017 as the Manure Application Manager. He currently resides in St. Ansgar with his fiance, Kristie, and five children. Andy enjoys spending time with his family and going to the races.
