Crop Production - Corn and soybean production is our primary enterprise. The Wapsipinicon watershed is blessed with productive soils, consistent weather, and landowners who share our passion for stewardship.
Livestock - Hog production is a growing segment at Pinicon Farm. K-Pigs, our hog division, contract finishes for Iowa Select Farms and Holden Farms as well as raising our own hogs. The staff within this division are all dedicated full-time swine specialists. Over half of our corn acres are fertilized exclusively from hog manure.
Land Ownership - This belief is shared and practiced by other members of the Koenigs’ clan who are not directly involved, but have an interest in our success. Land purchases are a significant source of growth. We set special satisfaction in acquiring and improving fixer upper farms.
Manure Application - Bio Application applies manure for Pinicon Farm and other customers, pumping around 50,000,000 gallons annually. Maximizing the value of our manure is the focus at Bio. This is achieved through accurate analysis, thorough agitation, consistent coverage and placement. Bio owns drag hose equipment and manure tanks, which gives us flexibility to choose the best application method for the job.
