Meet Our Team

Jim Koenigs Chairman & Founder, Pinicon Farm

Jim is an '81 graduate of Iowa State and lifelong farmer. His current responsibilities at Pinicon include key relationship management, financial oversight, and seasonal field assistant. Other interests include spending time with family, traveling with wife Linda, fitness and outdoor activities.

Bert Brumm CEO of Pinicon Partners, crop production division of Pinicon Farm

Bert is part owner of Pinicon Partners and a ’97 graduate of St. Ansgar High School. He started working at Pinicon Farm in the fall of ’97 and has been a highly valued member of the team since then. His previous position at Pinicon was operations manager. Bert and his wife, Donna, reside in Stacyville, IA with their two boys, Cooper and Ryland. Other interests of Bert’s include golf, and cultivating his peer network.

Ben Winters Production Lead & GIS Specialist

Part-owner of Pinicon Partners, Ben joined the Pinicon family over ten years ago. His responsibilities include oversight of agronomy, GIS systems, and seasonal crew leader. Ben enjoys camping and spending time with his wife and sons in his spare time.

Alex Koenigs CFO of Pinicon Partners

Alex is part-owner and CFO of Pinicon Partners. In addition to accounting and administrative oversight, he is a seasonal crop production crew leader. After graduating from Iowa State University and Drake Law School, Alex joined the operation in 2015. Alex was married to his wife, Megan, in 2013. He enjoys spending time outdoors, especially riding bike, with friends and family.

Calvin Niess Inventory & Purchasing Manager

Joining the Pinicon team in 1998, Calvin has worn many hats in his 19 years of service. He now serves as the Inventory & Purchasing Manager. Calvin grew up on a farm in Osage, IA and previously worked with grain inspection and merchandising for over 15 years. He enjoys running and spending time with his wife and their twelve grandchildren.

Danielle Cherveny Human Resources Manager

Danni joined the team in the Human Resources department in June 2014. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with majors in Business Management & Human Resource Management. Her and Bryan live in St. Ansgar and enjoy spending time with their two daughters, Aubrey and Madison.

Lindsay Johnson Administrative Office Assistant

A graduate of Riverland Community College and bringing in over five years of administrative experience, Lindsay joined us in September of 2016. She grew up in the Stacyville, IA area and was exposed to agriculture at a young age. Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her niece Carly.

Chris Adams joined our team in March of 2017 as our Advanced Equipment & Maintenance Technician. So far, he enjoys the variety of the duties he is exposed to here. Chris is a proud father of two, Blake & Megan. He enjoys building racecars and spending free time with his children. Welcome to the team Chris!
